Massive Coles fan. Built like the village plumber but the man had wheels, power and skill.
The first clip isn't a showcase of Pollocks pace its a showcase of Prendergast's shit defending
Where's Adam Jones?
Glathie agreed that "Forwards in Rugby Should NOT be THIS Fast" and deployed Makalou on the wing.
I know it is always fun to watch a prop or a hooker breaking the line, but to me, a speedy lock is always the biggest marvel. To get those enormous legs pumping at that speed… Backrowers are basically expected to be as fast as backs, these days, anyway. 😉
With more regularity and discipline, Macalou could have been an incredible player !
Tom Croft was a freak. At one point the fastest player in the squad at wasps
Who is that at 3:40? He's surrealy fast for his size!
Can I suggest Phepsi Butelezi or Haychiva Dayumani for part 2?
Honourable mentions
Richard Bands
John Eales
Sam Simmonds
Jan Hendrik Wessels
Josh Bayliss
Cam Hanekom
Radike Samo
Think there is a clip of Lomu on 8 so can add that as well lmao
Probs a lot more that I can’t think of now
Andrew's on a mission to get Tipuric's solo chip and chase try in every compilation
"Speed kills." Is literally the primary thing my coach has been telling me and the other forwards in my team, since the beginning of this year.
They always were that big ang fast, but only in southern hemisphere countries. Northern hemisphere went for slow fat guys with zero go.
You missed the try by Richard Bands in 2003 SA v NZL game. I watched an interview of him the other day and apparently in sprints he was 1st of 25m 2nd over 40m with only Breyton Paulse beating him but then stone last over 100m .
He’s like a prime tip ur IC
A modern 7 and 13 should be pretty much interchangeable. Open side flankers need to be where the action is. The great new zealand hooker Dain Cole redefined that role too. How many tries did he score hanging out on the wing? Thats why I love rugby. Its always evolving. From an English born, welsh bread, played, coached and still live in France. Rugby is a true sport played by true sportsmen and women. In rugby, Ive always been taught and taught the kids I trained this. Rugby the sport first, your team mates second, your country third, yourself last. So pretty much in the inverse of football then.
Tom Croft probabley the fastest i've seen.
What???? Where's Os Du Randt?
Before watching, I expect: Ted Hill, Ben Earl, Pollock
Where is Radike Samo?! His try from the halfway vs the All Blacks is legendary. Played on the wing for the Wallabies too as he was so fast.
